Portsmouth School Department

We’re excited to begin the registration process for Kindergarten for the 2026 - 2027 school year in the Portsmouth School Department! Starting February 2, parents/guardians of eligible students can get started by visiting the Registration tab at the top of our district website: www.portsmouthschoolsri.org. From there, simply click Kindergarten Registration and complete the online forms at your convenience.

To finish the process, please plan to come in person, with all required documentation, to Portsmouth Middle School (125 Jepson Lane) during one of the times below:

Tuesday, March 3 — 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Last names A–K)
Wednesday, March 4 — 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Last names L–Z)
Tuesday, March 10 — 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

No appointment is needed. If you’ve completed the online pre-registration ahead of time, your visit should take only about 10–15 minutes.
