Certification Renewal Opens: January 1, 2024

APPLY ONLINE!! You may apply for renewal certificates on RIDE Portal.

On Jan 1, 2024, RIDE will begin the certification renewal process using Professional Learning Units (PLUs). Educators renewing certificates in 2024 will need to show evidence of PLUs. More information can be found here.

All educators will need to have their PLUs verified by the district prior to renewing with RIDE. Follow the steps below to submit your PLU hours for approval:

Log into your Frontline Professional Growth account.

  1. Download a PDF copy of your transcript at: My Info | Print Transcript | Open File

  2. Complete the PLU Google Form and upload the PDF copy of your transcript.

  3. Your transcript will be verified by HR and sent to the Deputy Superintendent for approval.

  4. You will be notified once it's approved.

  5. You may now submit your renewal application on the RIDE Portal.

Note: You must provide a copy of your renewed certificate to Human Resources. See instructions for downloading a PDF to email to aguiark@portsmouthschoolsri.org
