Meet the Student Services Team
Charity Shea was appointed as the Director of Student Services in August of 2022 after serving as the Assistant Director, then Director of Pupil Personnel Services in South Kingstown for three years. Before that, Mrs. Shea served the Portsmouth School Department from 2005 until 2019 as a special educator at the high school and special education coordinator at Portsmouth High School and Portsmouth Middle School. Additionally, she worked for the Chariho Regional School District in their behavior program, at Ocean Tides School in Narragansett, and in Florida, where she started her educational career at Herbert Hoover Middle School, teaching math to 7th and 8th graders.
Mrs. Shea earned a B.S. in Special Education from the University of Central Florida and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.
Charity has been married to her husband Chris since 2006 and is the proud mother of Katelyn (PHS Class of 2013), Jarryd (PHS Class of 2016), Liam (RHS Class of 2023), and Kasper (a 9th grader at PHS).
