Physical Education Framework from the Rhode Island Department of Education
Students will practice and develop a variety of physical, cognitive, social, and affective skills in their three quarters of physical education. Lessons will focus on motor skill competence, self-management, interpersonal skills, and goal-setting.
Activities that will be utilized to accomplish these goals include: team sports, individual sports, lifetime activities, fitness activities, large and small group activities, and cooperative activities.

Health Education Framework from the Rhode Island Department of Education
The purpose of our health class is to have students practice and develop a variety of health skills while learning about functional health information to support the health and well-being of self and others. Students will be introduced to personal wellness through the personal health triangle (physical, social, and mental). There will also be three major topics covered in the quarter of instruction:
Self-management and improving self-esteem
Advocating and bullying
Puberty/hygiene
