IXL (Literacy and Mathematics)
IXL is an important part of how we support student learning in both Literacy and Mathematics. This program provides personalized skill practice and allows teachers to track how students are progressing with specific grade-level standards. IXL gives immediate feedback to students and helps them learn from their mistakes in real time. Teachers utilize the Diagnostic tools to identify each student’s current level of performance and IXL automatically generates individualized action plans to help students close skill gaps and reinforce strengths by providing opportunities to challenge students who are above grade level. The real-time data IXL provides allows teachers to group students for targeted instruction, develop small groups and tailor lessons to meet individual needs. IXL is part of our MTSS academic process to monitor student progress and determine when additional interventions or supports may be needed. It plays a key role in both formative and summative assessment and helps ensure that every student continues to grow toward end-of-year goals.
