Library

Students at Melville school have library class once a week. During this time, students listen to read-alouds, check-out books, and learn about everything from how to use a library, to genres, to technology. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, spark their curiosity, and find answers to their questions. The Melville library is a place where sparking, and growing, our students’ love of reading is always a focus.

All of our library lessons are either based on the American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) National School Library Standards, or  the International Society for Technology in Education’s (ISTE) Standards for students.
