2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR


    The Portsmouth School Department has started the process of registering kindergarten students for the 2020-2021 school year.  If you are the parent of an eligible student (born on or before September 1, 2015), please follow the steps listed below to ensure your student is properly registered.

    Step 1 - Complete the online registration
    Each student must have a completed online registration in our database before they can be registered.  Registrations are accepted via our online registration system, InfoSnap. CLICK HERE to access the InfoSnap Registration. Once completed, you do not need to make an online appointment.  Please see Step 2 for more information. 

    *To ensure that your information is received, it is STRONGLY recommended that you do not access this database from a cellular phone. If you experience trouble opening this link, please make sure you are using Google Chrome as your browser.  You may also click on the "Register for the 2020-2021 school year"  and register through that page.  

    Step 2 - Attend one of the Kindergarten Registration Days at Portsmouth Middle School
    To complete the registration process, it is important that you attend one of the Kindergarten Registration Days at Portsmouth Middle School (125 Jepson Lane) listed below:

    Tuesday, March 3rd - 9am-1pm (Last names A-K)
    Wednesday, March 4th - 9am-1pm (Last names L-Z)
    Tuesday, March 10th - 9am-12pm (Make-up date)

    Individual appointments are not neccessary.  If all registration information has been completed on-line it should take 10-15 minutes to complete the process. If you cannot attend one of the Kindergarten Registration Days listed above, we will accept appointments beginning on March 17th in Central Administration.  All registrations appointments beginning March 17th are by appointment only.

    Required documents needed at registration appointment
    You are required to bring the following items to the Kindergarten Registration Days to finalize your child's registration:

    • Child's original Birth Certificate, Passport, or Military ID
    • Parent/Guardian's photo ID (drivers license or military ID)
    • Immunization records and copy of most recent physical
    • Proof of Residency-Students must reside in Portsmouth with parent/guardian.  One form from each list below specifying the parent/guardian’s residency/address is required:

      LIST A
      Portsmouth Property Tax Bill
      Government Housing Letter
      Copy of Lease/Rental Agreement
      Notarized Letter attached to Property Tax Bill from Portsmouth Resident verifying residency of occupant

      LIST B
      Current Utility Bill (Home Telephone,Oil, Cable, Water, Electric or Gas)
      *Cell phone bill is NOT Acceptable
